STAFF TUESDAYS:
I started coming to FC when I was 18. It has been my second home since then, but not because I’m “on Staff.” The moment I started serving, I got connected with a group of people-my “Water Buffaloes”. It starts small. I just started with greeting at the door. But the little things make the biggest impact! I got to meet everyone who came through our doors. Sometimes it wasn’t more than just a smile, but that’s enough to make a connection. Then I moved on to doing Kids’ Check-In, which gave me even more time to connect with parents and families. I really started getting to know everyone! My community was growing. I had people that weren’t my biological family, but they became my family anyway, they became my people, my “Water Buffaloes” who always have my back and carry me through the hard times. This is what serving in a ministry does. It connects you with people you may not meet by just coming to service on a Sunday. It does a lot more than that, but that is one of my favorite parts! Get connected. Start serving and you’ll know what I’m talking about!
