Good morning! I have been spending time thinking on Paula’s message from Sunday. If you haven’t heard it yet, please take some time to listen.
I believe God’s calling on my life is to be a positive influence on a younger generation. One of the reasons I love being a Youth Director here at FC is that it gives me the opportunity to live out my purpose every day.
Paula’s message about how the Church is called to take care of orphans made me reassess how I can use my calling to fulfill this aspect of the churches calling. Orphans are those without fathers and those without mothers. Orphans, in my line of work, are those who don’t feel supported. They are students who are trying desperately to figure out who they are and don’t think anyone cares to help.
The Bible tells us that these students are loved by God, and we need to reflect that love onto them.
Will you guys join me this week in praying for our students? Will you join me in trying to be fatherly or motherly to students in your life? Will you join me in listening to those who don’t feel like anyone cares?
