STAFF TUESDAY:

Anyone else like to isolate themselves? Just me? 🙋🏼‍♀️ I don’t know about you, but I have a tendency to shut down and close myself off from those around me, including the people that love and support me. I prefer to walk through my stuff alone rather than burden someone else with my baggage. But that’s not how God created us. He created us in His image to be relational beings as He is. He intended life to be lived together so that we can lean on our people in the hard times and celebrate together in the good times. Jesus knew this when he called on His disciples to do two things in Mark 3: preach and have authority, and “be with him.” He just wanted to hang out with His people! Our mission statement as a church is simple: to connect people to an everlasting committed relationship with Jesus Christ and with others. Allowing other people to carry me in my struggles is so hard for me, but it’s worth it. Life is so much better when we do it together. I mean, I really can’t argue with the example Jesus gave me.
